Asset Control & Deployment Manager
The Role:
The Asset Control Manager is our first operational hire and one of the most critical roles in the founding team. This person owns everything on the vehicle side of the business — from procurement and insurance to delivery and day-to-day partner coordination. In the early months, they also serve as the primary account manager for our fleet operator partners, ensuring vehicles are performing, partners are supported, and operational data flows back into the business. As the team grows, the account management function will transition to the Operation Manager, allowing this role to deepen focus on the asset side.
Responsibilities:
Vehicle Procurement & Logistics
Manage the end-to-end vehicle procurement process — from purchase order issuance to physical delivery to fleet partners.
Coordinate with vehicle manufacturers and suppliers on delivery timelines, logistics, and registration.
Ensure all vehicles are registered, insured, and equipped with telematics before deployment.
Track the vehicle procurement pipeline against the deployment plan across target markets.
Insurance & Telematics
Own the insurance setup for all vehicles — coordinate with insurance providers, ensure policies are in place before deployment.
Manage telematics installation and monitoring — ensure visibility into vehicle location, usage, and condition.
Fleet Partner Coordination (Account Management)
Serve as the primary operational contact for fleet operator partners at the onboarding and pre- contract stage.
Coordinate vehicle allocation and delivery schedules with fleet operator partners across CDMX and Monterrey.
Produce weekly and monthly partner performance reports for the CEO and working group reviews.
Support the CEO in sourcing and onboarding additional fleet operator partners as the deployment plan scales.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in fleet management, automotive operations, vehicle logistics, or a related field — open to the best candidate regardless of seniority.
Strong understanding of vehicle procurement, registration, and insurance processes in Mexico.
Experience working with fleet operators, car rental companies, or mobility platforms is a strong plus.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts simultaneously.
Strong communicator — able to manage partner relationships professionally and push for results without burning bridges.
Comfortable in a startup environment: ambiguous, fast-moving, with no established playbook.
Proficient with Excel, the Microsoft Office suite, and Google Workspace.
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred — working language is Spanish, but English required for internal reporting.
