AI Product Manager – Large Equipment Dealership Systems
The Role:
The AI Product Manager will own end-to-end product strategy, execution, and delivery for AI-driven solutions serving large equipment dealers and OEMs. This role blends hands-on product ownership with a leadership responsibility to elevate AI product management practices across the broader organization.
The ideal candidate combines deep product instincts with practical experience in LLM-based solutions, eval (QA) methodologies, prototyping, and GTM enablement. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, UX, and Sales teams to define requirements, validate models, coordinate delivery, and ensure clear, repeatable execution for AI products.
This role is execution-based but will provide and evolve product management best practices for the product management organization. The role will own several agent-based solutions.
Responsibilities:
AI Product Ownership
Own the roadmap, requirements, and delivery of assigned AI solutions for equipment dealers (e.g., agentic workflows, predictive insights, recommendation systems, smart ingest).
Translate customer workflows, data constraints, and dealer pain points into clear PRDs, prototypes, and functional specifications.
Partner with Data Science/Engineering to define model behavior, evaluation criteria, guardrails, and acceptance thresholds.
Conduct structured model testing and evaluations (offline evals, human-in-the-loop testing, scenario testing).
Drive iterative prototyping to accelerate alignment and reduce development risk.
AI PM Best Practices & Enablement
Establish and continuously improve AI product management standards for the organization—requirements templates, evaluation frameworks, prototyping practices, red/green testing, and UX patterns.
Mentor PMs and BAs on AI PM fundamentals, including writing prompts/specs, defining success metrics, running evaluations, and designing human-in-the-loop workflows.
Partner with Revenue Enablement to deliver crisp, buyer-ready GTM materials (positioning, demos, FAQs, release notes, value messaging).
Build repeatable launch playbooks for AI features: enablement, customer rollout, feedback loops, and performance monitoring.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, UX, Data Science, QA, and Customer teams to ensure timely delivery of AI features.
Collaborate with OEM and dealer partners to validate use cases and ensure data readiness (telematics, inspections, work orders, parts, etc.).
Maintain clear communication streams, ensuring stakeholders understand status, risks, and changes in model behavior or scope.
Serve as a subject-matter partner to leadership on prioritization, technical feasibility, and long-term AI platform strategy.
Delivery & Quality
Ensure delivered models and features meet functional requirements, evaluation thresholds, safety guidelines, and performance KPIs.
Establish feedback loops to track model drift, accuracy, response quality, and user adoption.
Lead post-launch analysis to identify improvements and future opportunities.
Requirements:
5+ years in Product Management, with hands-on experience delivering AI/ML or LLM-based products.
Strong capability in writing PRDs, user stories, structured evaluations, and UX-aligned prototypes.
Experience defining model success criteria, prompt patterns, test harnesses, and evaluation pipelines.
Demonstrated ability to partner with engineering, data science, and UX teams in fast-moving environments.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills—able to explain complex AI behavior to dealers, OEMs, executives, and internal teams.
Familiarity with ERP, DMS, dealer workflows, construction/ag equipment, or OEM integrations is a plus.
Experience enabling GTM teams with clear product positioning, demos, and release readiness materials.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple AI workstreams simultaneously.
