Head of People Operations – Mexico
The Role:
We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on HR leader to oversee people operations for a fast-growing technology and consulting office in Guadalajara. This role will be responsible for building scalable HR systems, driving talent acquisition, and fostering a culture of innovation, inclusion, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR policies aligned with Mexican labor laws and global standards
- Advise leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and employee engagement
- Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding:
- Lead recruitment efforts for technical and consulting roles
- Build partnerships with local universities and tech communities
- Employee Experience & Development:
- Design onboarding, training, and career development programs
- Promote a culture of feedback, recognition, and continuous learning
- Compliance & Operations:
- Ensure compliance with IMSS, INFONAVIT, and other local regulations
- Oversee payroll, benefits, and vendor relationships
- Culture & Engagement:
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
- Organize team-building activities and internal communications
Ideal Profile:
- 5+ years in HR or operations leadership in Mexico, preferably in tech or consulting
- Strong knowledge of Mexican labor law and HR best practices
- Experience managing hybrid or remote teams
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Bonus Points:
- Experience with nearshore delivery models or international HR coordination
- Familiarity with HR tech platforms (e.g., Runa, Worky, BambooHR)
