Business Analyst - EOM & Integrations
The Role:
Business Analyst would need to study, document and present the OEM-Dealer interface requirements for development teams. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
- Eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements from various stakeholders, including OEM, dealer and end-users.
- Conducting interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather information and translate it into clear, concise requirements.
- Creating user stories, use cases, and other relevant documentation to communicate requirements to development teams.
- Process Analysis and Optimization:
- Analyzing existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Developing and proposing solutions to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Utilizing data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
- Stakeholder Management and Communication:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and customer users to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.
- Communicating technical requirements and solutions to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Facilitating meetings, workshops, and presentations to gather feedback, clarify requirements, and manage stakeholder expectations.
Required Technical & Functional Skills:
- OEM Interface Design: Experience in designing and documenting data exchange interfaces between OEM systems and enterprise platforms (preferably DMS).
- API & Web Services Knowledge: Understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML formats, and integration patterns.
- Data Mapping & Transformation: Ability to define data models, map OEM data to internal schemas, and ensure accurate transformation and validation.
- System Integration: Familiarity with middleware, ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), or integration platforms used for connecting disparate systems.
- DMS Domain Knowledge: Understanding of dealership operations, vehicle lifecycle, service, parts, and sales processes.
- Data Consumption Design: Experience in designing downstream data flows, including how OEM data is consumed and used within internal modules.
Required Qualifications:
- IT and Business management related Education (Engg+MBA or equivalent)
- Experience with ERP type products (5+ years)
- Familiarity with Logistics/SCM, dealership & Rental industry
- Proficiency in using business analysis tools and techniques, such as data modeling, process mapping, and requirements management tools.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Understanding of relevant technologies and platforms used in the OEM industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
