UPF Payments Integration Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, configure, and support payment solutions using ACI’s UPF platform.
- Work closely with business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver customizations or enhancements.
- Create and maintain UPF configuration artifacts including Message Maps, Service Configurations, and Delivery Channels.
- Perform code-level debugging and performance tuning of UPF modules.
- Integrate UPF with upstream/downstream systems including switches, fraud systems, and core banking.
- Participate in unit, integration, and user acceptance testing phases.
- Handle incident and problem management for production systems, ensuring SLAs are met.
- Contribute to documentation, including design specs and configuration guides.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3–8 years of experience in payment systems, preferably with hands-on experience in ACI’s UPF.
- Good understanding of ISO 8583, XML, JSON, and other financial messaging formats.
- Strong experience with UPF configuration elements (Service Definitions, Message Sources, Data Maps, Formatters).
- Proficiency in Java or other languages commonly used in UPF customizations.
- Familiarity with middleware, databases (e.g., Oracle, DB2), and Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience in CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and ticketing systems like JIRA is a plus.
- Exposure to real-time transaction processing, message flows, and integration with switches (e.g., BASE24-eps) is desirable.
