Bookkeeper (Part-Time)
The Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper with a strong background in accounting and QuickBooks Online to support three of our clients. This is a remote, flexible role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and is passionate about improving processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain books for multiple entities using cash and accrual accounting methods
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate transaction coding
- Generate and analyze P&L statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements
- Process payroll via Paychex, ADP, or Gusto; manage PTO, sick pay, and benefit deductions
- Collaborate via Slack, manage documents in Hubdoc, and track time in QuickBooks Time
- Help refine and document accounting processes
- Write professional emails and communicate clearly with team members
- Support construction industry-specific bookkeeping tasks (preferred but not required)
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting and knowledge of GAAP
- 10–15 years bookkeeping experience across multiple companies
- 8–10 years experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO Certification required)
- 5–7 years payroll processing experience
- Experience in the construction industry (preferred)
- Comfortable learning new tools (Gmail, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, curious, detail-oriented, and process-minded
Note: Approx. 20 hours/week; Must be available during California business hours
