Service Now Engineer/Developer
The Role:
The ServiceNow Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing and automating IT service management processes, leveraging their expertise in the ServiceNow platform. This individual will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring alignment with ITIL best practices and the business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- ServiceNow Development: Design, develop, and configure custom ServiceNow applications, workflows, and integrations to enhance IT service delivery and streamline processes.
- Incident and Problem Management: Implement and manage ServiceNow modules for incident, problem, and change management, ensuring effective issue resolution and proactive problem prevention.
- Configuration Management: Maintain and update the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to accurately reflect IT assets and their relationships.
- Service Catalog: Develop and maintain a comprehensive Service Catalog within ServiceNow, enabling self-service capabilities for users and improving service request fulfillment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful adoption of ServiceNow.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of ServiceNow updates and industry best practices, identifying opportunities for platform enhancements and process optimization.
Requirements:
- ServiceNow Expertise: 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration, including expertise in modules like ITSM, CMDB, and Service Catalog.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, Jelly, Bootstrap, Angular, PowerShell, JSON/XML, and SQL.
- ITIL Knowledge: Working knowledge of IT Service Management best practices and ITIL framework (V3/V4). ITIL certification is desired.
- Project Delivery: Experience in ServiceNow implementations and the ability to manage projects from inception to completion.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and bridge technical and business requirements.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Infrastructure Understanding: Familiarity with IT infrastructure components, including virtual/cloud environments, networking, and security.
